The answers to many of the questions you may have about the toy industry can be found here. In some cases, a direct link will take you to the section of this web site that provides the specific answer. Please read this section carefully before submitting a question to us via email. Due to the volume of email we receive, we cannot reply to all questions that appear here.

Q1: We are importing toys that adhere to the EU Safety Standards (or US Standards), will I still have to have the toy tested to the Australian Standards?

A1: Yes.

Q2: Where can I buy the Australian Standards?

A2: You can buy these from Standards Australia (Ph: 1300 654 646).

Q3: I am a toy manufacturer/importer/distributor (retailer). How can I get information about exhibiting (attending) at the Australian Toy Hobby & Nursery Fair in Melbourne?

Q4: I am an importer based in (name of country) and would like to sell your products in my country OR I am an exporter and would like to sell your products outside Australia.

A4: The ATA is a trade association and does not manufacture any products. See the ATA Member Directory to contact toy manufacturers, etc.

Q5: Where can I get some up to date information regarding industry figures?

Q6: Can I link my website to the ATA website?

A6: The ATA will not accept links with commercial websites.

Q7: I need to have my product tested to the Australian Standards.
